Summary
Hong Kong Real Time requires no user account. This draft describes the intended release behavior and the data needed for arrivals, purchases and support. Final tracking and data-collection declarations will be reconciled against the exact signed archive before this policy is published for release.
Optional one-shot location
Location is optional and requested only after you choose the nearest supported place. The app asks iOS for one approximate coordinate, compares it locally with supported-place coordinates, then stops the request. It does not store raw coordinates, build a location history or send the coordinate to a transport provider. You can deny or revoke access and search manually.
Search and provider catalogues
Stop, route and provider searches run against catalogues held locally by the app. Hong Kong Real Time downloads official provider catalogues separately, stores a provider-specific generation and refreshes stale catalogues without waiting for every other provider. The search text you type is not sent to Rawdestiny or a transport provider.
Arrival and incident requests
To fetch transport information, the app sends only the provider-specific stop, route, direction, line or station identifiers needed for the selected or saved place to the relevant official provider endpoint. Transport Department incident requests do not include your selected place. Like any internet service, a provider may process your IP address and ordinary technical request details needed to deliver, rate-limit and secure its service.
Hong Kong Real Time does not send your name, Apple Account, precise location, search text, advertising identifier or purchase status to those providers. It does not fetch the whole territory's live ETA set.
Data sources
Transport data is sourced from DATA.GOV.HK and the relevant providers, including the Transport Department, KMB/LWB, Citybus, MTR Corporation Limited, Green Minibus operators, New Lantao Bus Company, Hong Kong and Kowloon Ferry, and Sun Ferry. See the DATA.GOV.HK Terms of Use. Weather warnings and Hong Kong Observatory data are not included in this release.
Local storage and cache
Your selected and saved places, provider bindings, appearance scene, recent board snapshots, catalogue indexes, cache timestamps and verified Premium state are stored locally in the app container or the private App Group shared with the widget. Provider-aware caches and request backoff avoid unnecessary repeated calls. The app is the writer of widget board snapshots.
Widgets and Live Activity
A widget reads immutable board, scene and entitlement snapshots from the local App Group. Widget views do not call transport providers, StoreKit or a Rawdestiny server and do not write persistence.
If you start a Live Activity, Hong Kong Real Time gives ActivityKit the selected place name, upcoming departures and update time for local display on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. The app does not request an ActivityKit push token and has no Rawdestiny server that updates Live Activities.
Purchases
Apple processes prices, payments, receipts, subscription state, refunds and purchase identity through the App Store and StoreKit. Hong Kong Real Time receives a verified entitlement result and saves only the local status needed to unlock Premium. Rawdestiny does not receive your full payment-card details.
Diagnostics
The app uses Apple's operating-system logging for bounded technical events such as provider outcome, status, elapsed time and request correlation. The intended release does not log raw coordinates, Apple credentials, payment details or private support text. The exact archive and its dependencies will be audited before release declarations are finalised.
Support email
If you send support email, Rawdestiny and your email provider process the sender address, message and attachments you choose. Do not include payment data, passwords or secret codes. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to respond, diagnose the issue or meet legal duties.
Retention and deletion
Delete the app's data or uninstall the app to remove its local settings, catalogues and caches. Widgets may retain a system-managed snapshot until iOS removes or refreshes it. Apple, transport providers and your email provider control retention in their own services.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to personal-data processing. Hong Kong Real Time normally has no Rawdestiny user profile to provide. Contact help@rawdestiny.com for a privacy request.
Changes
This page receives a new effective date if the app's processing changes materially.
