1. Service
Hong Kong Real Time displays available public-transport arrivals and Transport Department incident information for the supported Hong Kong sources. It does not sell tickets, provide journey planning, change bookings, operate transport, issue safety instructions or guarantee a journey.
2. Independent app
Hong Kong Real Time is an independent Rawdestiny app. It is not affiliated with transport operators or the HKSAR Government. Provider and route names identify factual data sources and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement or official status.
3. Coverage
The release supports KMB and Long Win Bus, Citybus, Green Minibus, MTR heavy rail, Light Rail, MTR Bus, New Lantao Bus, and only the HKKF and Sun Ferry routes returned by their official ETA APIs. Star Ferry, Hong Kong Tramways, Peak Tram, taxis, high-speed rail, tickets, journey planning, crowding and vehicle capacity are outside the service.
Weather warnings and Hong Kong Observatory data are not included. The app must not be treated as an emergency-warning or safety service.
4. Data sources and acknowledgement
Transport data is sourced from DATA.GOV.HK and the relevant providers, including the Transport Department, KMB/LWB, Citybus, MTR Corporation Limited, Green Minibus operators, New Lantao Bus Company, Hong Kong and Kowloon Ferry, and Sun Ferry. Intellectual property belongs to the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and the relevant data providers.
Use of government open data is subject to the DATA.GOV.HK Terms of Use. Provider names, marks and data remain the property of their respective owners.
5. Transport information
Expected times, timetables, platforms, routes, service states, incidents, source timestamps and coverage can change or be incomplete. Data is provided as is and may be delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, changed or suspended. Hong Kong Real Time distinguishes expected, scheduled and saved information when the source permits, but cannot independently verify every journey.
Check the relevant operator or official government source when accuracy matters. Do not rely on the app as the only basis for a connection, flight, appointment, safety decision or emergency action.
6. Network and device behaviour
Internet access and a compatible iPhone are required for current information. iOS may delay background refresh, widgets or Live Activities. Hong Kong Real Time coalesces requests, respects provider throttling and keeps provider-specific saved data, but cannot guarantee provider uptime, response cadence or background delivery.
7. Free features and Premium
The full in-app arrival board, one saved place, provider and mode filters, the default harbour rain scene, and small and medium Home Screen widgets are free.
Premium unlocks large and Lock Screen widget layouts, independently configured saved places, Live Activity, multiple saved places and all original visual scenes. Premium does not buy a transport ticket or priority access to provider data.
8. Purchases and subscriptions
Prices, currencies, taxes, trial eligibility and availability are shown by Apple before purchase. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the Apple Account and manages renewal. Any unused part of a free trial may be forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where applicable.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase for the supported app features. Restore Purchases asks StoreKit to verify eligible purchases. Apple controls billing, refunds, Family Sharing availability and App Store purchase records.
9. Apple terms
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app. If these product terms conflict with mandatory law or the Standard EULA, the mandatory rule or Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict.
10. Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully and personally. Do not interfere with the app or provider services, bypass purchase checks, overload endpoints, extract data in a way that violates provider terms, misrepresent the app as official, or reuse protected marks and visual assets without permission.
11. Privacy
The Hong Kong Real Time Privacy Policy explains optional location, local searches, provider requests, caching, widgets, StoreKit and support email.
12. Availability and changes
Features, providers or coverage may change when law, source terms, technical interfaces, App Store rules or data availability change. A material change to these terms receives a new effective date. Continued use after an effective change means acceptance where permitted by law.
13. Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted, complete or error-free operation. The developer is not responsible for operator decisions, missed services, provider outages, inaccurate source data, or indirect loss caused by relying on arrival information. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
