Before you write
- Check your connection and the board's source and last-updated time.
- Confirm that the intended provider-backed place is selected.
- Pull to refresh, then reopen the app if a widget still appears old.
- Check official operator information when your journey is time-critical.
The board is old, empty or partly unavailable
Hong Kong Real Time keeps each provider separate. One provider can be unavailable while other arrivals remain current. Saved data keeps its timestamp and never changes into a live label. Pull to refresh or choose the place again. A provider may also return no arrival for a valid stop outside operating hours.
Scheduled and real-time information
An expected arrival is shown as real-time only when its official response provides that state. Timetable information is labelled as an estimate. The app does not turn a static route or fare record into a live claim.
Supported services
The release supports KMB and Long Win Bus, Citybus, Green Minibus, MTR heavy rail, Light Rail, MTR Bus, New Lantao Bus, and the HKKF and Sun Ferry routes returned by their official ETA APIs. Transport Department incidents are a separate source.
Star Ferry, Hong Kong Tramways, Peak Tram, taxis, high-speed rail, tickets, journey planning, crowding, vehicle capacity, weather warnings and Hong Kong Observatory data are not included.
Nearest supported place
Allow location while using the app, then try the nearest-place action again. The app requests one location, compares it locally with supported places and does not retain raw coordinates or build a location history. You can always search manually.
A widget is old or empty
Open the app and refresh the saved place. Widgets read the immutable snapshot already saved by the app and do not make their own transport request. Small and medium Home Screen widgets remain free and show arrival value.
A widget layout is locked
The large Home Screen layout, Lock Screen layouts, independent per-widget places, Live Activity and extra visual scenes require Premium. Open the app after purchase so StoreKit can refresh the verified entitlement. Free small and medium widgets are not replaced by a paywall placard.
Premium is missing after purchase
Open Premium and choose Restore Purchases. Confirm that the iPhone uses the Apple Account that made the purchase and is online. If Apple shows the purchase but the app remains locked, contact support without sending payment information.
Cancel a subscription or request a refund
Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account in iPhone Settings or the App Store. Apple decides refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Lifetime is a one-time non-consumable purchase.
Is this an official transport app?
No. Hong Kong Real Time is an independent Rawdestiny app. It is not affiliated with transport operators or the HKSAR Government and does not sell tickets.
