MedMate Terms of Use
These terms are provided for transparency. They are not legal advice.
Acceptance
By using MedMate, the user agrees to these Terms. If the user does not agree, they should not use the app.
Medical Safety
MedMate provides organization tools and medicine education. MedMate is not a doctor, pharmacist, clinic, emergency service, diagnosis tool, prescription service, or medical device unless separately cleared by applicable regulators.
Users must follow their prescription label and instructions from licensed clinicians. Users should contact a doctor, pharmacist, poison control, or emergency services for urgent, clinical, dosing, side effect, interaction, overdose, or safety questions.
MedMate must not be used as the only way to manage critical or life-sustaining medication. Reminders, notifications, widgets, caregiver views, AI replies, and scan results can be delayed, wrong, incomplete, or unavailable.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Entering accurate medicine, dose, schedule, caregiver, and profile information.
- Reviewing reminders and medicine data before relying on them.
- Keeping account access secure.
- Using the app only as allowed by law.
- Not attempting fraud, abuse, reverse engineering, or unauthorized access.
AI and Scan Features
AI and scan features can be wrong or incomplete. They are provided for convenience and education only. Users must review and approve AI drafts before saving them. Users must verify medicine information with package labels, prescription labels, pharmacists, or doctors before making decisions.
AI-generated content, repeated user mentions, OCR output, package text, or MedMate cache entries do not become verified medical truth by themselves. MedMate may block, refuse, or simplify AI responses where needed for safety.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Medmate Personal and Medmate Family subscriptions are sold only through Apple in-app purchase, offered monthly and yearly with a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or canceled in the user's Apple ID account settings.
Refunds for Apple in-app purchases are handled by Apple. MedMate may adjust subscription entitlements after refunds, chargebacks, revocations, fraud, or transaction conflicts.
Caregiver Sharing
Caregiver sharing should be used only with consent. Users should share medicine or dose information only with people they trust. A caregiver view is not a substitute for professional monitoring or emergency care.
Caregivers are responsible for acting appropriately on shared information. MedMate cannot guarantee that reminders, nudges, notifications, or shared status are delivered in time.
Availability
MedMate may change, pause, or discontinue features where needed for safety, maintenance, security, law, or business reasons.
Termination
MedMate may suspend or terminate access for fraud, abuse, legal risk, security risk, or violations of these Terms.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, MedMate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every medical situation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Bao Ngoc Pham is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for medical decisions made by users or third parties.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. If you live in a country whose mandatory consumer-protection laws grant you additional rights, those rights continue to apply to you regardless of this clause.
